luck.
that is all it is.
i got lucky that i was born in the united states. i got lucky that i was born into a middle class white family. i got lucky (some might say) that i was born straight.
the dealer just happened to deal me a good hand.
this is why i feel so passionate about fighting for people who werent born so “lucky”. who weren’t born into this country, but want to make it here. for people who didn’t have parents that were affluent. for people who were born loving the same sex and have faced ridicule and mockery their entire lives because of the way they were BORN.
we are no different. we are all PEOPLE.
i just got lucky that my life turned out this way, where society looks upon me in a higher regard than it does others - and remembering that, i will never stop fighting for people who society says differently about. i’m done being timid and shy about my beliefs. they make me even more who i am, and i will fight for them and stand up for them, always.
